I hoped to enjoy some of that unusual and natural beauty of Iceland when I stopped there in May/June. Unfortunately, some things went wrong and I was unable to leave Reykjavik. This week I found this incredible video on Slate.com as well as a Q&A with the photographer that was simply fascinating. It gave me a taste of what I missed and increased my hunger to return. Enjoy it!
I’m a swing dancer and when I decided to visit NYC it made sense to see if I could dance while I was in town. When I saw Johnny Boyd and his Sensational Swing Lover Band was playing the same weekend that “On the Town” opened I knew I had to make the trip that weekend. I’m a huge fan of movie musicals. If it has Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire in it, chances are I’ve seen it. “On The Town” with Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra is one of my all-time favorites.
I don’t know about you, but there are certain movies I want to watch at particular times of year. “You’ve Got Mail,” is one of those movies for me. Autumn rolls around and in addition to apple picking trips and eating all the pumpkin things I want to watch Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in this adorkable rom-com. Continue reading
