Reflections on 2014 and Best Wishes for the New Year

Facebook has a “year in review” function that I didn’t care for, primarily because it seems to heavily favor photographs over all other content. Yes, there were some fun things I did in 2014 that were photographed, but there were far more important milestones that weren’t. Some private, some public. There was spiritual growth, friendships that deepened and moments of courage and strength Facebook knew nothing about. There were also sins, struggles and disappointments because if we’re honest, life is hard — no matter how much social media makes it seem picture perfect.
