I was born and raised in a small town in New York State. I earned a degree in journalism from Liberty University in 2005 and soon moved to the Washington, D.C. metro area to work in the conservative movement. I’ve been working as a full-time writer and/or editor ever since.
In 2012, I was accepting into a Christian reporting class with World Journalism Institute and in September 2013 began regularly freelancing about international persecution of Christians for Worldmag.com.
I also launched the website, SteakandaBible.com, in March 2012 as a place where I could write about my Christian faith, theology, promote the gospel, encourage fellow Christians and warn against heresy. You can find me on twitter @SteakandaBible
I’m a news junkie, word nerd, bibliophile, shutterbug, hostess, cyclist, dancer (lindy hop!) and avid traveler. Wanderlust and curiosity keep me from getting bored and I find there’s always something interesting to discover if I just open my eyes — whether in the neighborhood, or across an ocean. I hope you enjoy the stories I have to share, whether my own or from the people I’ve met along the way.
