I love it all: research, writing, editing, as well as thinking strategically about which channels and tactics will best serve a business or non-profit.
I can provide a variety of communications services on a contract basis:
Content Creation
I pursued journalism in college, excited it would equip me to write about any subject. As a natural eclectic who loves to learn new things, this was perfect. By learning how to research, interview, quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar topics, to ask the right questions, and write news, features and opinion styles, I’ve excelled professionally. My past work includes writing about education, media, philanthropy, business and economics, and a host of international religious issues.
So whether you need a storyteller, marketer, reporter or persuader, I can be of service.
Proofreading
Do you have digital or print content created and nearing the finish line, but need a reliable editor to review it? I can check spelling, grammar and look for typos and inconsistencies so that you have an error free final product. For print products, I can also check alignments, spacing and other visual elements.
Editing
Whatever drafting stage your materials are in I can edit them and provide additional guidance. Trying to persuade an audience? I can tell you if the arguments are unconvincing or need more evidence to substantiate your claims. I can also reorganize information to improve readability and flow, make things clearer, and tell you what questions your readers may be left with.
Content Planning or Publishing
If you lack the in-house resources to develop a content plan or editorial calendar that fits your needs and goals, I may be able to help. I also have many years of content administration experience including using content management systems to publish online.
Photography
Photography may be added on to services like content creation depending on the project. My passion is landscape photography, but I can shoot portraits or other visuals to accompany and enhance written content.
